International Baccalaureate
The Hague School’s application for authorization for the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme was approved as of 20 April 2021. The school’s candidacy period for authorization as an IB World School formally began on 1 September 2019 with its inaugural class. This same class became our first Diploma Programme students in September 2021, along with a few students who have joined us along the way. IB World Schools share a common philosophy – a commitment to high-quality, challenging, international education – that we believe is important for our students.

The Virginia Council for Private Education
The Virginia Council for Private Education (VCPE) has recognized The Hague School’s accreditation by the Accrediting Commission for Schools Western Association of Schools and Colleges (ACS WASC). “For a Virginia private school to be recognized as an accredited private school by the Commonwealth of Virginia, the private school must have its accreditation recognized by VCPE through the school’s accreditation with a VCPE approved accrediting association.” (vcpe.org).
VCPE accreditation benefits school faculty, staff, and administration, but its most important benefits are afforded to students. Students have the ability to transfer to a public school on grade-level., transfer high school credits, apply for state ane federal government jobs and enroll in institutions of higher education without placement testing being required.
